The City School of New Rochelle is in search of a Business Education Teacher for grades 6-8. Must be certified to teach business or the core components of Personal Finance including the state required components of Budgeting and money management:

 

The Responsibilities Include:

  • The understanding of how to allocate one’s financial resources to meet life goals.
  • Credit and debt management: The understanding of the role of credit in personal finance and how to avoid potential pitfalls of debt.
  • Earning income: The understanding of how income is earned and how taxes impact the money that is taken home.
  • Risk management: The understanding that risks are a part of life and strategies to manage that risk, including insurance policies.
  • Saving and investing: The understanding of the role of putting money aside to plan for long term expenditures.

Middle School Special Education Science Teacher

The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking a NYS dual certified Special Education

teacher for a middle school probationary appointment. Applicants must be certified in both Special Education

7-12 and General Science 7-12. This is for a full-time, tenure track

teaching position beginning in the 2026-2027 school year.

 

Successful candidates will:

 

  • Demonstrate the ability to design lessons, deliver high quality instruction and differentiate to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Demonstrate experience using data analysis protocols to help drive instructional planning and support student needs

  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the P-12 New York State Science Learning Standards

  • Develop and implement accommodations and modifications aligned with students’ IEP’’s while maintaining access to grade level science curriculum and standards.

  • Ensure awareness of and compliance with student IEP due dates, with a working knowledge of IEP Direct

The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking a candidate with New York State Certification as a Special Education Secondary English Teacher (Gr. K - 12 or Gr. 7 -12) for a Middle School. Appropriate Dual Certification K-12 or 7-12 NYS certifications for Students with Disabilities and 7-12 English Language Arts required at time of application.
