The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking an Elementary Special Education

Teacher for Special Class (Positive Alternative Techniques). Successful candidates  must have NYS Teacher Certification.

Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI) preferred.

Responsibilities include:

Delivery of Specially Designed Instruction as aligned with grade level content.

Conducting individualized criterion-referenced inventories of behavior repertoires
(assessments) for all students on an annual basis.

Provide individualized instruction to all students with a minimum per student and
measures, graphs, and analyzes all student's progress on all IEP objectives daily.

Analyzes student progress on a daily or moment to moment basis and working closely
with Behavior Analyst Supervisors to design phase and change and note objectives for
each student.

Work with Behavior Analyst on the development of curricula and behavior procedures to
be followed in the class.

Carrying out and maintaining all instructional aspects of a student’s IEP.

Completing progress reports and Annual Review reports for the IEPs.

Delivering classroom instructional programs and adjusting based on the needs of the
students.

Maintaining a classroom environment that is conducive to instruction.

Ward Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dynamic educator to join our team as an Assistant Principal. In this leadership role, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Principal to provide instructional leadership, manage day-to-day operations, and foster a positive and productive learning environment for all students. You will play a key role in shaping the academic success and well-being of our students. The Assistant Principal will support student achievement and instructional support while fostering a culture of respect.
