The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking a highly qualified candidate for an ENL Teacher Leave Replacement. Must hold a Teacher of English as a Second Language (ESL) Certificate issued by the New York State of Education.

 

The responsibilities include:

 

• Responsible for providing instruction to students whose first language is not English, helping them to improve their language skills and succeed academically
• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of ESL students
• Assess student progress and adapt instruction
• Collaborate with other teachers to support ESL students in mainstream classes
• Communicate with parents and guardians about student progress and needs NYS TESOL Certification is required at the time of application.
