The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking a dual certified secondary, 7-12 Students with Disabilities/Math teacher probationary position for the Year. Appropriate 7-12 NYS certification in BOTH Students with Disabilities AND Math are required.

Responsibilities include:  

Plan lessons, deliver high quality instruction based on Math next generation standards, grade student work, maintain a record of grades, correspond with parents, and effectively communicate with students.

  • Collaboration and planning is required.
  • Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.
  • Prepare for and participate in student CSE meetings to facilitate student progress and aid in the identification of plans to address student support needs.
  • Collaborate with Math and Special Education department to address student needs

The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking a candidate with New York State Certification as a Special Education Secondary English Teacher (Gr. K - 12 or Gr. 7 -12) for New Rochelle High School. Appropriate K-12 or 7-12 NYS certifications for Students with Disabilities and 7-12 English Language Arts required at time of application.

 

Responsibilities include:  

Demonstrates a commitment to support all learners. Develops and actualizes a learning environment consistent with school district vision, goals and objectives. Student-centered educator committed to developing a differentiated and personalized learning plan for classified students based on strengths and readiness levels. Demonstrates an understanding of how to accurately administer educational evaluations and analyze results to inform recommendations and goals. Assists students and teaching staff in implementing students' IEP's including academic goals and behavior management plans. House Principal

The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking a suitably qualified individual for the following anticipated position: House Principal for New Rochelle High School Primary responsibilities are to coordinate, supervise, and administer the operation of his/her assigned House within the High School. Candidates must hold a valid current NYS School Building Leader certificate at the time of application.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Maintain student discipline.

• Provide for procedural due process in student suspensions.

• Work with the Assistant Principal in providing building control.

• Maintain records of student attendance and tardiness.

• Supervise House clerical, custodial, and hall monitor staffs.

• Work with the Coordinator of Guidance in supervising House counselors.

• Assign teachers to supervisory duties.

• Work with the Administrative Assistant and Department Chairpersons in supervising   teaching staff within the House.

• Supervise co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

• Perform such other responsibilities as may be requested by the High School Principal and authorized by law.
