The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking an Elementary Special Education Teacher for our 8:1:2 ABA program. The successful candidate must have NYS Special Education Teacher Certification and experience working with children with Autism and related disabilities.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Application of the principles of ABA across all domains, including academic, communication, social and behavioral.
  • Provide individualized instruction to all students with a minimum per student and measures, graphs, and analyzes all students’ progress on all IEP objectives daily.
  • Analyze student progress on a daily or moment to moment basis.
  • Work closely with Behavior Intervention Specialists to design, phase, change, and note objectives for each student.
  •  Carry out and maintain all instructional aspects of a student’s IEP.
  • Complete progress reports and Annual Review reports for the IEPs.
  • Deliver classroom instructional programs and maintain a classroom environment conducive to instruction.

The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking a fourth grade general education teacher to fill a short term leave. Candidates should possess knowledge in the Science of Reading, researched based interventions, assessments, differentiation strategies and should have experience teaching grade 3, 4 or 5.

 

The successful candidate must have:

 

  • New York State Certification in Childhood Education Grades 1-6
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching  
  • Data Driven Educator
  • Well versed in research based teaching strategies
  • Understands successful techniques for motivating
