The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking an elementary education special education teacher to fill in a full-year leave replacement position for a 12:1:1 special class program. Must be certified in special education Pre-K through 2nd grade. Successful candidates should have NYS Teacher Certification and experience working with children with Autism and related disabilities.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

• Delivery of Specially Designed Instruction as aligned with NYS Standards.
• Carrying out and maintaining all instructional aspects of a student’s IEP.
• Completing progress reports and Annual Review reports for the IEPs.
• Delivering classroom instructional programs and adjusting based on the needs of the students.
• Collaborate with peers and support staff.
•  Maintaining a classroom environment that is conducive to instruction.

Job Qualifications

NYS Certification is required at time of application
