The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking a highly qualified TESOL teacher for an ENL  position at the Elementary School pending approval of the 2024-2025 School Budget.

Qualifications:

• NYS Certification in TESOL

Skills:

• Extensive experience with ENL strategies and literacy development.
• Extensive knowledge of administration of the NYSITELL and NYSESLAT.
• Extensive experience with integrated ENL classes in the elementary classrooms.
• Bilingual Spanish (preferred)
•  

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and facilitate lessons to develop students’ language acquisition and literacy for stand-alone and integrated classes.
• Assess students’ performance accurately and regularly; provide thoughtful and meaningful feedback for improvement.
• Establish and maintain an open channel of communication with parents and school personnel.
• Promote a safe and stimulating environment for students. 
•  

NYS TESOL Certification is required.
