JOB DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of 1 month. Responsibilities: Draw on an extensive repertoire of instructional strategies to promote clear learning targets and content-specific outcomes aligned with national and state standards for all learners, including differentiation for language learners and students with disabilities. Collaborate with colleagues on the use of facilities and units of study. Integrate SEL practices into the instruction of sports, leisure, recreation activities, and games. Progress monitor students to support full participation in class and facilitate outreach strategies for students who are not on track for appropriate credit accumulation. Maintain record-keeping on student completion of assignments, student progress in learning, and non-instructional records. Establish and maintain parent communication. Seek out opportunities for professional development and solicit feedback on practice from both supervisors and colleagues. Requirements & Qualifications: New York State Teaching Certificate-Physical Education Baccalaureate or Master’s Degree in Physical Education Certification in CPR and Basic First Aid.

 

NYS Certification is required at time of application.
