The successful candidate must have NYS Special Education Teacher Certification and experience working with children with Autism and related disabilities. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply. Teachers with backgrounds in Applied Behavior Analysis are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include: Application of the principles of ABA across all domains, including academic, communication, social and behavioral. Provide individualized instruction to all students and measures, graphs, and analyzes all students’ progress on IEP objectives daily. Analyzes student progress on a daily or moment to moment basis and works closely with Behavior Intervention Specialists to design, phase, change, and note objectives for each student. Work with a Behavior Intervention Specialist on the development of curricula and behavior procedures followed in the class. Carry out and maintain all instructional aspects of a student’s IEP. Complete progress reports and Annual Review reports for the IEPs. Deliver classroom instructional programs and maintain a classroom environment conducive to instruction.

 

NYS Certification is required at time of application.
