New Rochelle School District is seeking highly qualified candidates for a 6th grade teacher positing in possibly English Language Arts (ELA) and/or Social Studies in a middle school setting. This is for a full time, tenure track teaching position.

 

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

 

• Extensive knowledge of the New York State Next Generation Learning Standards and The Culturally Responsive-Sustaining (CR-SE) Education Framework
• The ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• An ability to motivate, engage, challenge and instruct students through a wide variety of teaching strategies
• An understanding of early adolescent development
• Ability to infuse technology into lessons
• Experience using data analysis protocols to help drive instructional planning
• The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals
• Reflective practices and a commitment to professional learning

 

Candidates must possess appropriate New York State K-6 certification.
