The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking a candidate with New York State Certification as a Special Education Secondary Teacher (Gr. 7 -12) for a Middle School. Appropriate Certification K-12 or 7-12 New York State certifications for Students with Disabilities required at time of application.

Ability to develop and actualize modifications and accommodations for students with disabilities in a general education classroom based on student readiness levels.

Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.

Ability to engage in various instructional models, including co-teaching, parallel teaching and pulling small groups.

Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth; actively seeks professional learning opportunities.
