The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated high school English Leave Replacement Teacher (April to June).

 

Candidates will be considered based on their demonstrated ability to do the following:

 

• Establish and maintain rapport with students, foster a welcoming and affirming classroom environment, and address inappropriate behavior using a restorative approach.
• Develop and/or implement culturally relevant units and lessons aligned with the expectations of the Next Generation Standards.
• Prepare lessons that reflect differentiation in student learning styles and abilities and use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
• Utilize Webb’s Depth of Knowledge to structure student activities and assignments and ensure instructional practice is current with best practices.
• Conduct and maintain ongoing assessments of student achievement and behavior, both formative and summative, using appropriate assessment methods.

Job Qualifications

NYS Certification is required at time of application
