The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking a Special Education Teacher at the Early Childhood/Elementary Level.

 

Responsibilities:

• Organization and implementation of classroom programming including a written/visual schedule of daily classroom activities;
• Collecting, maintaining, and tracking data regarding progress toward achieving IEP goals and managing student behavior;
• Developing structured and individualized academic programming;
• Administering and writing educational evaluations as needed;
• Attending and participating in Committee on Special Education meetings;
• Developing an IEP for each student including PLEPs and individualized goals;
• Assisting in the development Behavior Intervention Plans, Safety Plans, and Independence Plans as appropriate;
• Ensuring proper oversight of, supervision of, and providing feedback for evaluations of classroom support staff

Job Qualifications

NYS Certification is required at time of application
