The City School District of New Rochelle seeks a Special Education Middle School Math Teacher (Leave Replacement) starting in September and ending in November 2026.

 

Qualifications:

 

• Special Education Certification Certified 1-6 and or Math (5-9) Skilled at using math data to plan for instruction and interventions
• Reflective practitioner
• Has an understanding of implementing Standards of Mathematical Practices for Next-Gen Math Standards in the classroom
• Believes that all students can achieve high levels in math with rigorous instruction and hard work
• Believes that educators work with families to support students’ learning
• Dedication to continual and active professional learning, department and interdisciplinary collaboration, and building school community partnerships
• Understanding of early adolescent development
• Proven track record of improving math achievement for diverse learners

Job Qualifications

NYS Certification is required at time of application
