The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking to temporarily hire a teacher who can instruct both physical education and health education.

 

Responsibilities include:

• Creating lesson plans that follow the scope and sequence, covering physical fitness, character development, leisure activities, and health skills.
• Using diverse teaching strategies to ensure students meet learning goals aligned with national and state standards.
• Collaborating with colleagues to foster a positive and supportive school climate. Incorporating social-emotional learning (SEL) into lessons.
• Engaging in ongoing professional learning to improve instructional practices.

 

Requirements: NY State Teaching Certificate in Physical Education and Health Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Education/Health Education CPR and First Aid certification

 

Job Qualifications

NYS Certification is required at time of application
