The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking highly qualified candidates for a Middle School Science Teacher position. This is for a full time, tenure track teaching position beginning in the 2025-2026 school year.

 

The successful candidates will:

 

• Demonstrate strong science content knowledge and innovative instructional practices
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the P-12 New York State Science Learning Standards/Next Generation Standards
• Demonstrate the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Demonstrate an ability to motivate, engage, challenge and instruct students through a wide variety of teaching strategies
•  Demonstrate skills to infuse technology into lessons
• Demonstrate an understanding of early adolescent development
• Demonstrate experience using data analysis protocols to help drive instructional planning
• Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals
•  Demonstrate reflective practices and a commitment to professional learning
• Candidates must possess appropriate New York State certification to teach science at the middle school level: K-6 elementary certification with a 5-9 extension in science or 7-12 science certification with a 5-6 extension. Interested candidates should send their cover letter and resume via OLAS.
