The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking dynamic and innovative Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teachers to join our CTE team at the middle school level. This exciting opportunity involves delivering hands-on, industry-aligned instruction to students in Grades 7–8, fostering early exposure to career pathways and developing essential 21st-century skills.
We welcome certified educators with expertise in one or more of the following NYSED-approved CTE career areas:
Architecture
Business & Marketing
Computer Technology
Cybersecurity
Drone Technology
Engineering
Graphic Arts
Law/Legal Services
Technology Education
Essential Functions
Design and deliver engaging, standards-based CTE instruction aligned to NYSED learning standards and industry expectations
Facilitate hands-on learning opportunities that reflect real-world workplace scenarios
Create a classroom environment conducive to creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving
Integrate relevant technology tools to support learning, critical thinking, and career readiness
Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and implement strategies to support students’ growth
Collaborate with other educators to design cross-curricular projects and initiatives
Create and implement design challenges that allow students to develop solutions to real-world problems
Participate in school meetings, professional development, and contribute to the overall goals of the school
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related area (Master’s degree preferred)
Valid New York State Certification in the relevant CTE career area for Gr. 7-8
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Commitment to culturally responsive teaching and continuous professional growth
NYS Certification is required at time of application
