The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a High School Social Worker position. Under the general supervision of the Director of Pupil Services, the responsibilities of the School Social Worker include:
• Provide individual/group counseling for classified and non-classified middle school students
• Experience in crisis intervention
• Collaborating with educators, parents/guardians, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community for all students.
• Chair CSE and/or 504 meetings.
• Participate in appropriate department and school-based meetings
• Perform any duties and responsibilities that are within the scope of employment, as assigned by their supervisor.
• Adhere to all applicable Federal and New York State Board of Education rules and regulations and The City School District of New Rochelle.
NYS Certification is required at the time of the application.
