The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking dual certified secondary 7-12 students with Disabilities/English Teacher pending approval of the 2024-2025 School Budget. Appropriate NYS Certification in both areas is required.
Responsibilities include:
Plans lessons, delivers high quality instruction, grade student work, maintains a record of grades, corresponds with parents, and effectively communicates with students.
- Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse education, cultural and linguistic backgrounds of the students served as well as meet the new Social Studies Framework.
- Prepare for and participate in the student CSE meetings to facilitate students progress and aide in the identification of plans to address student support needs.
- Attend and participate in Special Education/English Department meetings and complete required Professional Development.
- Ensure awareness of and compliance with student IEPs.
- Access and competently utilized IEP program to progress monitor for student goals and for IEP completion.
