The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking qualified candidates for an anticipated middle school teaching vacancy in science.  The position is tenure track and will commence in the 2024-2025 school year pending approval of the School Budget. 

Successful candidates will:

• Demonstrate strong science content knowledge and innovative instructional practices 
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the P-12 New York State Science Learning Standards/Next Generation Standards
• Demonstrate the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Demonstrate an ability to motivate, engage, challenge and instruct students through a wide variety of teaching strategies
• Demonstrate skills to infuse technology into lessons
• Demonstrate an understanding of early adolescent development
• Demonstrate experience using data analysis protocols to help drive instructional planning
• Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals
• Demonstrate reflective practices and a commitment to professional learning 

NYS Certification is required

Job Qualifications

Candidates must possess appropriate New York State certification in science grades 7-12 with a 5-6 extension to teach science at the middle school level.
