The City School District of New Rochelle is seeking a Middle School Math Teacher position pending approval of the 2024-2025 School Budget.

Qualifications

• Certified 7-12 with grade 5-6 extension
• Skilled at using math data to plan for instruction and interventions
• Reflective practitioner
• Has an understanding of implementing Standards of Mathematical Practices for Next Gen Math Standards in the classroom
• Has knowledge of current discussions in the development of math education
• Believes that all students can achieve at high levels in math with rigorous instruction and hard work
• Believes that educators work with families to support students’ learning
• Dedication to continual and active professional learning, department and interdisciplinary collaboration, and building school community partnerships 
• Understanding of early adolescent development
• Proven track record of improving math achievement for diverse learners
